Chirafug F – G – GG

One-component cementitious mortar for grouting joints

One-component cementitious mortar for grouting joints, consisting of special cements, redispersible polymers, graded aggregates, admixtures and special pigments.
– Chirafug F: for joints from 0 to 2 mm
– Chirafug G: for joints from 2 to 15 mm
– Chirafug GG: for joints larger than 15 mm

Fields of application

Thanks to high hardness, good mechanical strength, smooth finishing and low water absorbency, Chirafug is suitable for grouting: interior/exterior floors and walls, all types of ceramic tile, marbles and natural stones, areas subject to intense traffic.

The joints must be dry clean, free of dust; the excess adhesive or mortar should be removed while still fresh.
Fill the joints well using a trowel or rubber float, making sure the joints are completely compacted with no unevenness; remove excess grout, while still fresh, from the surface moving the trowel or float diagonally across the joints. Clean excess product with a damp hard cellulose sponge working diagonally to joints using clean water only and avoid emptying the joints.
In the case of grouting porous coatings, it is necessary to carry out a preliminary test to verify cleanability and if necessary apply a protective treatment on the surface.

Never mix Chirafug with brackish or dirty water. The amount of mixing water must be always the same, in order to avoid uneven colors. Use the product at temperature between +5°C and +35°C. The substrate must be perfectly dry, adequately protected from rising damp in order to avoid efflorescence or uneven color. The chart colors are indicative, variations in color may occur depending on the environmental conditions and the method of application. Do not apply in walls or floors where specific chemical resistances are required, in case of flexible joints or on substrates that are highly deformable.
