Ideal for waterproofing and protection  of horizontal, tilted and vertical surfaces, such as:

• Rooftops, terraces, balconies and cornices
• Foundation walls, walls against soil, facades, walls
• Showers and bathtubs, before the application of the finishing coating

Applicable on supports such as:

• Fiber reinforced cement
• Concrete
• Cement screeds
• Cement plasters
• Pre-existent coatings in ceramic tiles, stone material

Substrate must be perfectly dry and cured. Wait at least 28 days before application. Surfaces must be perfectly clean , dry, free from dust and incoherent parts; the support must be structurally stable, free from efflorescences, rising damp and less than 4% humidity to avoid any risk of bubble formation. Remove any failing, detaching  part. In the presence of oily substances, remove them meticulously. In the presence of microflora is necessary to remove it by mechanical action. It is recommended to recover the slopes.

On pre-existent ceramic and natural stone floors it is necessary to completely remove any residue of previous works (such as hydro-repellents). If necessary, pre-sand the surface and apply Primer MonoGrip. Absorbent supports must be treated in advance with water based acrylic insulator Isoplas Acrilico.

To maintain the effectiveness of the waterproofing system it is necessary to spot any discontinued point (such as floor/wall angles) and treat them in advance using elastic bands for joints and angles or by creating perimetral slips.

Apply the first coating as insulating fixative, 10-20%  water diluted using a roller or a brush, let dry for 24 hours, then proceed to apply a second coating diluted by maximum 3%. Apply in a crossed fashion. Consumption has to be about 0,7-1L/mq.

On excessively damaged substrates or to increase resistance, it is recommended to apply a 61g/mq fiber glass mesh or 80g/mq or non-woven fabric during the first coating of still wet Chiragum.

The Chiragum film is not intended as a walkable coating. Walking on it is allowed just for short interventions. Make sure the supports are perfectly dry and clean. Wait the first coating to be perfectly dry before proceeding to next coatings. Do not apply in risk of rain for at least 48 hours. Do not apply below 10°C or above 35°C. It is recommended to dilute with clean water. Do not apply on surfaces affected by rising damp, wet surfaces, frosted surfaces, in the presence of superficial condensation.  It is recommended to protect the coatings until completely dry. After few days from application the cured film may result slightly sticky.
