Information

Fields of application

Abrasion-resistant paint for floors protection, with a semi-matt aspect and a compact colour. On iron surfaces, galvanized iron, wood, cement screeds and industrial floors, apply a suitable primer and then Coper Floor Antiscivolo. It is used to waterproof absorbent surfaces subject to considerable chemical and mechanical stress. It forms an anti-slip and accident-prevention coat.

Preparation of the surface

– New cementitious substrates: Make sure the surfaces are dry (in case of new screeds let them cure for at least 28 days after the last casting). Sandblast (in case of industrial floors we recommend the shot blasting of the surface), remove dust, catalyse and apply Primer Floor. If the floor is excessively dusty, clean and wash with a solution based on water and 5% hydrochloric acid. Rinse with clean water, let dry completely and apply Primer Floor.

– Iron surfaces: Remove any rust and flakes by mechanical brushing or sandblast (white metal blast cleaning), remove any grease and apply Primer Epossidico Universale.

– Painted supports: Remove any grease with a cloth soaked in nitro thinner, sandblast carefully removing the flaking paints, remove dust and apply Primer Floor. The substrate must be dry and without rising damp.

– Supports in galvanized iron: Degrease with solvent, clean all traces of greasiness and apply a coat of Primer Epossidico Universale.

Finishing

Wait at least 12-24 hours after applying the primer, then catalyse and apply preferably by brush, two coats of Coper Floor Antiscivolo (suitably diluted) waiting at least 12-24 hours between the coats.

Recommendations

Not recommended on damp surfaces. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Apply the product evenly on the surface without abounding. The abundance of product cause foaming phenomena with consequent loss of adhesion.
