Drywall Rinzaffo
Thermal scratch coat
Scratch mortar to enhance adhesion on lightened thermo-insulating cement plasters, based on Portland cement, lime, selected granulometry carbonate inerts and addictives which enhance adhesion and workability. Applicable by and or machinery, enhances adhesion of plasters on the support.
Information
Used as scratch coat on indoor/outdoor masonries such as:
- Bricks
- Tuff
- Stone
- Concrete
Substrate must be perfectly solid, free from duest, dirt, failing parts and efflorescences. Clean the surfaces by sanding or sandblasting, then wash with pressurized water to remove any residue.
In the presence of efflorescences or salts, proceed by washing with low pressurized water. In the case of salt excess, treat the support with an efflorescences inhibitor (see SalMur).
Wet the support before application and wait the superficial water to evaporate.
To apply by hand, pour in a container the right amount of water to mix a bag of Drywall Rinzaffo, add gradually the powder and mix with a low-rounds stirrer or cement mixer until an even, clump-free mixture is achieved. Let rest for 5 minutes and stir briefly before usage.
To apply via machinery, use a PFT plastering machine, adjusting the flow-meter to obtain a thixotropic consistency.
Apply by hand with a trowel or plastering machine, covering evenly the surface for a total thickness of 4-5mm. Let cure for at least 24 hours before applying the plaster.
Use clean, non-brackish water. Apply between 5°C and 35°C. Do not apply in high sun exposure and on rainy/windy days. Protect from rain, wind, sun and rapid desiccation for 24-48 hours after application. In case of application during summer, ensure a constant desiccation by using Sunshieldings/Windbreakers. Do not add materials, cement or other bonding agents in the bag. It is recommended to mix the entire content of the bag in one solution.
