Drywall
Thermal plaster with polystyrene beads
Premixed thermo-insulating plaster composed by cement, selected mineral inerts, expanded polystyrene beads, polymeric fibers and addictives. Thanks to its formula, the product is very light and low thermal conducting. Suitable for outdoor/indoor wall plastering in thermo-insulating systems.
Information
Drywall is used for the realization of thermo-insulating systems, particularly on irregular walls where sheet based insulation systems are not applicable.
Supports must be consistent, free from dust. Oils and dirt must be removed in advance. A few days before application, treat the concrete parts with a cement scratch-coat. Guides must be realized with the same material. Edges and openings must be covered with guards.
To apply by hand, mix with a cement mixer or a low-rounds stirrer, adding to the content of a 50 L bag 7,5 L of clean water (given the nature of the product, it is recommended to mix the content of the bag in one solution). Stir for 5-10 minutes. If necessary, wet the support a few hours before treatment.
To apply via plastering machine, use a elical mixer with solid screw, stator specific for lightweight mortars, long-pitched screws and 14mm diameter nozzle.
Apply by hand with a trowel or via plastering machine. Apply the next coat while the previous coat started to grip. Level with an aluminum stadia while avoiding to compress the product. On brick/cls joints it is recommended to apply anti-alkali fiberglass meshes.
Once hardened, the surface must be scratched with an appropriate robot. Thickness must be between 3cm and 12cm. After 28 days from application, once hardened, apply two coats of RasaPro Flex, inserting an anti-alkali fiberglass mesh between coats. Once the smoothing product has cured, it will be possible to apply the decorative finish coating.
Apply between 10°C and 30°C. Do not apply on risk of rain or in windy days. Do not apply on gypsum based supports.
